All of Vail Valley Soccer Club’s recreational teams participate in the Mountain Region League. All teams will practice and play home games in Edwards, CO at Freedom Park fields.  Away games will be held at the away team’s home field location. Clubs that participate in the MRL are stretched between Vail to Montrose. Teams that compete in the MRL are still subjected to travel. All VVSC teams will practice locally. These programs are designed to introduce players to soccer, foster a love for the game, have fun, and strengthen friendships. Players not only build relationships with their teammates, but gain the chance to improve their skills while having a fun and engaging atmosphere of recreational soccer. 

The MRL is unique in the fact that they do not start league play until mid-April and goes through the end of May (week before Memorial Day). The Denver Competitive leagues typically start the first or second week in March. With that said, players who participate on MRL teams, they are heavily involved in skiing and other spring sports that have them scheduled until April. The MRL season takes course over a two month practice and game schedule (April - May). VVSC’s competitive program is held over a three month practice and game schedule (March - May). 

All players receive equal playing time, and it is intended to be for fun and inclusion. All recreational teams will participate in at least one tournament a season - fall tournament Vail Valley Cup (first weekend in October) and spring tournament - GMIT Boarder Battle (Grand Junction second to last weekend in May). 

Practices will be held two times a week with games on Saturdays. The main existence of the MRL division is to give the mountain players the freedom to be involved in extended winter sports involvement. Practices will be based on the availability of the coach.
