Vail Valley Soccer Club would like to invite players and teams ages 14-19 to our College ID Camp and Showcase being held from Saturday, June 3, 2023. This ID camp will be a unique opportunity to match accredited colleges with players that are looking to challenge themselves both academically and athletically. This camp will include both field players and goalkeepers throughout the Western Region, Denver Region and surrounding western states. The ID camp will be held in the heart of the beautiful Vail Valley. 

The College ID Camp will be held on Saturday, June 3rd from 9-3pm. Players will be run through a series of sessions run by a college coach from across the country. Players will have the opportunity to learn how college practices are run and the type of training expectations of the college game. Players will end the session with small-sided games. The Vail Valley's unique natural backdrop and endless outdoor family activities, a college ID camp is a perfect match to attract players from all over the Western Region.

8:30 - 9:00 AM: Check-in 

9:00 - 9:20 AM: Warm Up

9:30 - 10:30 AM: Coaches Session 

Groups of 12-18 players broken up into groups based on age group / skill. 

Groups of players will be created by VVSC staff. The number of groups will be determined by the number of players. 

Coaches should plan a 60 minute “college training session.” 

10:30 - 11:30 Small Sided Games (coached by college coaches)

Teams will play 8 v 8 or 9 v 9 small sided games. 

Coaches are encouraged to interact as much as possible with players on the fields and on the sideline. 

We will not be stopping play for coaching points, please make points during the run of play. 

11:30 - 12:15 Lunch

12:15 - 12:45 College Coaches Talk

Informational session about college soccer. What are coaches looking for? What can players do to get on a coaches radar? Etc. Q+A with players and coaches. 

12:45 - 1:00 Warm Up

1:00 - 3:00 PM - 11v11 Games (coached by college coaches)

Round Robin 11 v 11 matches
