We invite all USYSA non-premier teams U11 through U14 boys and U 11 through U18 girls teams to play soccer in the beautiful Vail Valley at our Vail Valley Cup - Cindy Eskwith Memorial Tournament on October 4-5, 2014. We have added 8 v 8 format at the U12 (boys and girls) age group for this year. We are limited to 110 teams so register early to secure your spot. All teams will play a minimum of three games (weather permitting). All teams will be expected to check in no later than two hours prior to their first game. One representative from your club may check in multiple teams. Games will begin on Saturday morning at 9:00 A.M. All teams have been given permission by CSA to rearrange their league games to attend this Tournament. We are hoping that you and your opponents will rearrange your league game that weekend in order to attend.
When will we know if we have been accepted into the tournament? - teams that are accepted into the Vail Valley Cup will be notified shortly after the September 1st deadline. Please make sure you understand the cancellation policy of the property that you will be staying at in the event that your team is not accepted into the tournament.
What field will our team play on? - this information will not be available until after September 1st. We need to see how many teams we get in which age groups in order to know location of fields. If you are looking to make hotel reservations close to your field we can say this... all fields are located from Vail to Edwards and all points in between.
When will games start on Saturday? - games will start at 8am on Saturday morning.
What is the time of the last game of the day? - the last game of the day will start around 5:30pm.
Will we be placed in the Gold or Silver division? - we will do our best to put your team in the division requested on your application but this is not guaranteed. We usually have only one division at the U11 level.
Where and When is Check-In? - check in will be at the Evergreen Lodge at Vail in Vail from 7pm to 9pm.
What do I need to bring to Check-In? - two copies of your official state roster, all player cards (including those for guest players), medical release form for every player (including guest players), team lodging form, and two copies of the guest player form which must be signed by the player's regular club registrar and your club registrar. If any of these items are missing your team will NOT be authorized to play in the Vail Cup until they are received by the Tournament Director.
In addition to your player cards (including guest players), medical releases for every player (including guest players), and your state approved rosters (2 copies) you will need the Lodging Form below and the Guest Player form (2 copies) if applicable.
We will be posting lodging partners as they sign up with us through the month of July. Remember, entry is not guaranteed into Vail Valley Cup. Accepted teams will be notified right after the September 1st registration deadline... THANKS!
